The Koda Vista neighborhood was formed in the 1920's by the Kodak Employees Realty Corporation. That history is documented in the following pages in a document entitled "Changing Vistas: The Story of Koda Vista." Researched and written in 1983 by Jane Grant, it traces the rich history of our neighborhood back to a time when indians settled this area. It is an engrossing document providing an insight into how this area developed and changed over the years. More importantly, it is the history of a people that had a vision of creating a safe, secure neighborhood for all who lived here then and those who would come in the future.
March, 2008 is the 25th anniversary of the creation of this document. The original booklet has been transcibed into digital format so everyone may read it. However, it is not without its shortcomings. The original document had several illustrations, and an effort has begun to track down the originals so they too can be digitized and added to the transcription. Also, since the document is 25 years old, it needs to be updated.
That's where you, the residents of Koda Vista, come in. If you would like to assist in updating this document or you have any pictures of historical significance you would like to share with others, please click here to send an email to the webmaster. You will be contacted via email to set up a time to exchange information.
Let's all work together to augment this valuable document so future generations can enjoy it as well.
